Brazilian Choro has been around for over a hundred years, but in this country its virtually unknown. David Grisman, Mike Marshall and a handful of others have helped introduce the music and the musicians to a larger audience, but itʼs still largely under the radar of most music listeners…Its beautiful melodies, complex harmonies, and syncopated rhythms combine elements of European folk and classical, ragtime, jazz, Latin, and African music creating a style that is uniquely Brazilian. AUTHOR SERIES-Meghan Gilliss Sunday, August 11 at 5pm Lungfish
A debut novel by Meghan Gilliss. Meghan Gilliss attended the Bennington Writing Seminars and is a fellow of the Hewnoaks Artist Residency. She has worked as a journalist, a bookseller, a librarian, and a hospital worker, and lives in Portland.

The secret and spectacular worlds of Roald Dahl never ceases to amaze and Mary Bastoni-Rebmann's adaptations never cease to DELIGHT! Mary has been creating for over 25 years at Denmark Arts Center. Her talents are endless, seen and heard through her songwriting, script adaptations, set designs, and costumes. This production was given life by the energy and joy of 12 very talented actors who disquised themselves as campers!
